Building and Supporting Succesful Hockey Programs

Hockey Unleashed

Cornerstone Sports Group has worked to enhance our House League experience by linking our teams with the Hamilton Bulldogs AHL Hockey Club.

This season we have had 8 teams play season games at Copps Coliseum, meet the Bulldogs players and stay to watch a regular season game.  The feedback from our coaches demonstrate the value of this experience for players and parents:

"We had a blast.  My son, on the way home did not stop talking for one second about how this was the best day of his life!"

"I thought the whole Copps experience was great! Every aspect I think was wonderful! I know I couldnt' have improved on it!"

"The day was awesome.  The kids definitely felt like professionals! I don't know how the day could have been better...very satisfying."

Burlington Eagles Jr. Mites

Cornerstone also works to support the development of the Burlington Eagles Jr. Mites and Original Six House League programs while adding to the overall gameday experience of the Jr. A Hockey Clubs.  By bringing Jr. Mites players into the a real Jr. A locker room before games and letting them meet players and coaches, we work to empower and inspire players from both teams.  The results have been fantastic:

"On behalf of the Jr Eagles, we can't thank you enough for the hospitality extended to our young players over the past number of weeks.  We've heard nothing but great things to say about hte organization and professionalism of coaches, players and representatives and look forward to our next visit."

"Just wanted to let you know that we were very imprssed with the way the team interacted with our kids - they were in awe!  They were great in the change room and even hung out on the glass cheering them on between periods - something our kids thought was awesome!  Our son went to high five all the guyes on their way to the chage room at the end of the game - they were great and thanked him for coming out - even the coaches acknowledged him.  Kudos to the team for making it a great night for the kids!!  Thanks for helping to arrange it!!"

"The boys loved it.  They were in awe of the size and speed of the players.  And I must say the players were great with the kids.  In fact, a player who was injured and left teh first period early took the time to high-five all of the kids on his way back to the dressing room.  He was clearly in pain and could have easily just walked right by.  Very impressed by everything.  It was a great afternoon for the team."
